Vision Boards - Do They Work?
I’m kind of a geek when it comes to self help and goal achieving inspiration. Like so many, I tend to “take stock” at the new year. I decided to create a vision board to highlight some of my personal goals - the “why” I go to work each day - i.e. if I work hard, I can use that income to do the things that make my heart happy.
I should also mention, I am not very talented in arts and crafts so I took the easy way out and used Canva. It was super easy using personal photos and stock photos that symbolize a goal. It took less than thirty minutes and was ready to print.
Picking the pictures was easy - I’m pretty self away of what is important to me. The picture of the Grand Canyon symbolizes a bucket list trip I am planning with my son who is about to graduate high school. Other photos represent traveling with family or friends, going to concerts, spending time with my parents and finding peace and grace in daily life.
The jury is out on whether this visual will actually increase my productivity. I’ll let you know in 12 months! But I sure do smile when I look at it.
