New Beginnings

As a realtor, I get to work with people from all different points in their lives. It could be a family who needs a bigger home. Maybe a retired couple is looking for low maintenance living. I enjoy them all. But if I’m being honest, I really enjoy working with the clients who are looking for that new beginning.

I’ve helped clients who are leaving relationships find that first place on their own. I’ve helped find rentals to get them started. I’ve found them new homes in new towns where they feel like they are starting fresh. And I have sold homes for clients who want to be free to relocate to other states.

I have also been a neutral party when couples have decided to go their separate ways. This might not sound pleasant but both parties appreciate someone to help them navigate this emotional time. They appreciate knowing that someone is there to work for both of them. During contentious separations, clients are relieved that I am there facilitate communication for them.

Sometimes I help those who have fallen on tough financial circumstances. Falling behind on mortgage payments snowballs quickly, and it’s so stressful. After guiding these clients through selling their home and getting that off their shoulders - with respect and dignity - the relief they feel is palpable. They can start over.

These sounds like bummer circumstances - and they are. But there’s also hope. And I like being part of that hope.
